Phillip "Jeff" Drury
September 9, 1950 – October 31, 2026
Phillip "Jeff" Drury, 76, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on October 31, 2026. Born on September 9, 1950, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Fred Drury and Lohoma (Knepshield) Drury, Jeff built a life centered around hard work, deep devotion to his family, and a natural gift for bringing comfort to those around him.
Jeff spent over 40 years as a dedicated bread delivery driver, the majority of those years working for Butternut. While the work was physically demanding and the hours long, Jeff never lost his love for people. He truly cherished the lifelong friendships he made along his routes every day. He retired in 2016, a milestone he looked forward to so he could dedicate his time to helping raise his nine grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
A proud and devoted single father who successfully raised his four children on his own, Jeff brought that same patience and warmth to being a grandfather. He was widely known within the family as a "baby whisperer," blessed with a magical ability to rock every grandchild to sleep when no one else could console them.
Jeff is survived by his four loving children: son Jeff Drury (daughter-in-law Cheryl), daughter Bonnie Chaney, daughter Sarah Drury, and daughter Angela Stites (son-in-law Nick), as well as his nine adored grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Glenna Rice and Jennifer Henderson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10, beginning at 11:00 AM at Woodside Funeral Home Chapel in Middletown, with the funeral to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, quiet strength, and a heart full of love for his family and friends.
