King, Doris Elaine (Hahn) passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at her home in Miamisburg, Ohio. She was surrounded by the love of her children. Doris was born on March 3, 1932, in Middletown, Ohio.
Doris was preceded in death by many loved ones, including her parents, William and Nora Hahn; her beloved husband of 59 years, John King, who passed away in 2009; her grandson, Benjamin Rinderle; and many of her siblings, including William Hahn, Thomas Hahn, Joseph Hahn, Ruth Lawson, Betty Baier, Dianne Hahn, Helen Campbell, and Martha Hahn.
Doris is survived by her children: Debbie Weiskittel (Mike, deceased); Linda Lay; Terri Pemberton (David); John King; and Denise Rinderle (Michael). She is also survived by her sister, Judy Patrick of Franklin; her cherished grandchildren, Jason Lay (April), Scott Weiskittel (Christa), Judy Atkinson (Todd), Chad Weiskittel (Michelle), Justin Lay (Andrea), John King (Emily), Todd Pemberton, Joshua King (Mandy), Adam Pemberton, Dr. Joseph King (Becca), Jena Gianangeli (Taylor), Samuel Rinderle, and Jennifer Rinderle; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was a woman of strong faith, unwavering love, and remarkable kindness. Raised in a family of ten children, she learned early the values of family, hard work, and caring for others. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life, guiding her actions, her words, and her service to those around her.
Doris was deeply devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She enthusiastically attended sporting events, dance recitals, graduations, birthday parties, and every milestone or activity involving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the heart and light of her family; a constant source of strength, wisdom, and comfort. Her loved ones always knew they could turn to her in times of need. She was forever ready with a listening ear, a caring heart, and words of encouragement. Her gentle, compassionate spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Above all, Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and supported. Her home and kitchen were the heart of countless family gatherings, where laughter, conversation, and delicious meals created memories that will be treasured for generations. Through the meals she prepared, the traditions she cherished, and her countless acts of kindness, she expressed her love in both simple and profound ways.
Doris's legacy of faith, love, generosity, and unwavering devotion will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she poured into her family will continue to guide and inspire them for generations to come.
Visitation for the public will be held from 10:00 am until Services at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Woodside Chapel, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown, Ohio 45044.
