It is with unfathomable deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Cole Baker Lykins, age 21, of Lebanon OH. Cole passed away on May 20, 2026. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Alicia Mailhot (Chuck) and Luke Lykins (Amanda). He is also survived by his sisters, Caroline Thomas (Ben), Ellie, and Karen Lykins, brother Maximus Lykins (Alyssa), stepsister Taylor Klug, stepbrother Collin Mailhot, numerous grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Cole loved adventure and had hiked the Appalachian Trail only to return with stories of his journey. Cole was known for his many changing passions in life, his most recent being chess and rock climbing. Cole had a witty sense of humor that only those close to him understood. He often would have a smile afterwards to see if he took anyone off guard, and then smile when he knew he had succeeded.

Our beloved Cole died during a battle with depression/mental illness. This illness caused insurmountable and all-consuming pain. Upon becoming too tired to fight this dark illness, he lost the battle. It is our deepest hope that Cole's story helps raise awareness about mental health so that other families might be spared this pain.

There will be a celebration of life on June 5th at Armco Park, Lebanon, OH, Shelter 28 from 5-8PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cole's memory to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (988lifeline.org).
